Time for a head count
After the few responses to the poll sent out earlier, we have decided that most of the family would like to have the reunion from July 25-27, 2014. Check in would be after 2:00 PM on Friday the 25th and checkout would be before 2:00 PM on Sunday. Last Summer, Krista and I found a spot that we really liked between North Tahoe (North-east side of the Lake) and Truckee California. In light of the Winter Olympics this year, the campsite is near Olympic Valley where this region held the 1960 Winter Olympics. A link to the reserve america website about the campground can be found HERE. I need to reserve the campsite soon so I will need to know how many people will be coming. Please reach out to as many family members as you can and ask them comment on this post and give me their family name along with a count of family members that will be attending. For example: Ludlow Family-3. I will be Reserving the campsites after the 16th of March so I will need a headcount by that Sunday. I will reserve the campsites according to the headcounts that I receive on this blog. So that gives us 2 weeks. Please respond quickly. Any questions concerns and suggestions are welcome in the comments also.

ReplyDeleteRobert Evelyn Family - Please plan on 6-8 people (2 adults, 4-6 kids all with adult appetites.) Not sure if all the teenagers will get time off from summer jobs) If I have working truck - After Ryan crashed it last week we may be able to bring our boat too. We are very excited - thanks Jay - Cool location! how far to the water?
ReplyDeleteMade reservations #2-28655258

GOOSE MEADOWS, TAHOE NF - FS, CA
I went ahead and reserved SITE 13, NORTH LOOP
Arriving: Fri Jul 25 2014
Leaving: Sun Jul 27 2014
I guess I can swap sites if the rest of the group is reserving in the south loop. I just wanted to make sure we got a bigger pull-through site if we bring our boat. Jay can you comment on which sites are better for tent camping and which have better shade than others. I only listed 6 people - we may need to have one or two of our kids listed in another site if the rangers are picky.
The Mattson family will not be able to attend as those dates are the same as our Stake Pioneer Trek that Jared will be attending. We didn't cast our vote about dates because there was only a slight chance that we would be able to attend and we didn't want our vote to change the outcome for those who are sure to attend. We hope everyone has a great time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I completely missed these posts, I must not be on the email list(haha) Anyway, we will discuss these dates and get back to you asap
ReplyDeleteOkay, we will be there, but we won't be camping. That's 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children
