Reunion plan

Saturday June 30th will be the Evelyn Family Reunion in Tehachapi, CA. We'll meet at a park there in town and play games, visit and eat food. There is also the option of visiting the Ostrich Farm($3 a person)

If your family would like to camp, here is a link, you'll need to take care of that on your own. If there are a lot of people in Tehachapi Friday evening we can do a potluck dinner together.

Saturday's breakfast is up to the individual families. Snacks and an early dinner will be provided with the cost. Which I will figure out and get to you ASAP. First I need a good count of how many people will be there. Even if it's a maybe, I'd rather plan for too many, than not enough. Please let me know as soon as you can if you plan to make it or not. Activities will be

Egg toss
Three legged race
Tug-of-war
Croquet
Baseball (with a big bouncy ball and plastic bat)
Water guns(bring yours if you have some, and a towel)
Any other outdoor games I can find ;)

I don't think we'll reserve a park or pavilion, it's just added cost. So plan to bring your lawn chairs and maybe a blanket.

Reunion June 30th 2012

I apologize for the delay in details. I have been very busy. I sent a seperate email, so I won't duplicate the information here. But please email me back or vote for the option you would like.

Let's talk dates!

Summers are very busy, and ours is already starting to fill up. So I thought I'd throw out a date for the reunion and see what the feedback is. Plan on Central CA coast as your location (no specifics yet). Michelle and I came up with June 29th and 30th as possible dates for the reunion.

I'll throw this out again in January with more specifics. Please let me know if this date is good for you.

Reunion 2012

A HUGE THANKS to Robert and Reyna for putting together the first official Evelyn Family Reunion. It was a lot of fun! I think we had a pretty good turn out too. Friday night dinner had 33 people

Saturday morning we didn't get to see the balloons lift off, it was too windy, but we did see a hot air balloon up close, and that was pretty cool.

After Breakfast we went to the Scera park for a little patriotic program

That night we saw the amazing fireworks coming out of BYU stadium. We weren't all together in the same spot, but we all really enjoyed it, so that's all that matters.

Sunday we met back at camp for breakfast. And then packing up and heading home. We really appreciate all the time that was put into planning this. It was very memorable!

I was elected to put together the next reunion, so you'll be hearing from me. We need to figure out if next year is the best or if 2 years is better. And then a good date to do it.

A little more info

The reunion is just a little over a month away. There will be lots of fun to be had. Here's a rough itinerary.

There will be 2-4 campsites saved for those who wish to camp.

Friday night we will have a dinner at the campgrounds - possibly activities before that.

Saturday morning is the Hot air Balloon Festival from 7am-9am. We will gather for breakfast after. That day will be full of different activities, depending on age and interest. We will gather again that evening on a grassy hill near BYU Stadium for a picnic dinner.

Meals provided with your cost:

Friday dinner at campground 7pm

Saturday pancake Breakfast 9am (after balloon fest)

Saturday chicken/picnic dinner 7pm

Sunday Brunch 10am at park or campground

(Saturday's lunch is up to the individual families)

For those who said their coming: If you haven't sent your money, please do so.

For those who have said they can't come, it's not too late to change your mind, we'd love to see you there. We understand life circumstances or location can make it hard, you will be missed.

Head Count Please!

I've sent an email to all the addresses I have. Please, if I missed someone forward the info.

Robert needs a head count ASAP. He needs to reserve the campground very soon.

We need to know if you plan to come, even if it's just a maybe. We'd rather plan for too many, than not enough.

We also need to know how long you plan to stay (Fri - evening to Sun Morning, etc). And whether you plan to camp.
